![]() The MT-28 v3 is Fourteen's first forged wedge, designed to provide a softer feel and more forgiveness. The sole is rounded for better playability, and a mirror-milled face provides the spin and control characteristics the company is known for. We took the MT-28 v3 sand wedge for a test drive at Tustin Ranch Golf Club. Name: Brian Zaw Age: 14 Home course: Anaheim Hills Handicap: 16 What did you like about the MT-28? It was pretty light and easy to swing. It felt good. Is there anything you didn't like about it? Not really. Would you put the MT-28 in your bag? I'd like to because I'd like a lighter wedge that's easier to hit. Name: Lyon Lazare Age: 16 Home course: Tustin Ranch Handicap: 0 What did you like about the MT-28? The feel and look of the club was superb. Is there anything you didn't like about it? Nothing, really. Would you put the MT-28 in your bag? Yes. It's something I'd feel comfortable hitting around the greens. Name: Tim Rhoads Age: 48 Home course: Mile Square Handicap: 2 What did you like about the MT-28? It had consistent feel high or low on the clubface. There was good feel on half-swing shots, the distance was consistent, and the grooves had good grab. Is there anything you didn't like about it? The shaft I hit could have been stiffer. Would you put the MT-28 in your bag? Yes. It seems comparable to the Titleist Vokey wedges. Name: Lorne Henning Age: 56 Home course: Tustin Ranch Handicap: 8 What did you like about the MT-28? It had nice feel and good accuracy. Is there anything you didn't like about it? No, it felt great. Would you put the MT-28 in your bag? Sure, although I'm happy with my TaylorMade wedge. |
