The exciting prodigy improved dramatically in his appearance this year, finishing tied for 32nd at 4-under par despite struggling over the weekend with a pair of 72s. ![]() Even at 50 years old, "Boom Boom" can still play with the best players in the world. Cink made his 10th cut in as many appearances at the tournament, tying for 32nd, while the 45-year-old Goydos caught fire in the final round with a 6-under 65 that enabled him to climb all the way up into a tie for fifth. ![]() One of the PGA Tour's longest hitters, Dustin Johnson took advantage of many prodigious tee shots to stay in the title discussion throughout the week. Poway's Hoffman made his first cut of the year and tied for 37th, while Na, a former Diamond Bar resident, continued to establish himself as one of the top putters in the world and tied for eighth. ![]() Long Beach native John Merrick was all over the place in the final round, making an eagle on the par-5 first hole but also registering a pair of double bogeys and three birdies.
