Two private resort clubs add convenience and luxury to the Desert Willow experience.

BY ELI MILLERPublished: January, 2010

Club Intrawest features all the modern amenities for guests visiting Desert Willow Golf Resort.
In addition to being located near a variety of hotels — including the Marriott Desert Springs — Desert Willow Golf Resort is adjacent to a pair of private resort clubs that offer a high level of comfort and amenities for avid golfers and frequent travelers alike.

The first is Club Intrawest, part of a network of 16 resort-style destinations in North America. The property features many cozy vacation homes — either one- or two-bedroom — with on-site activities such as adult and children’s pools, a basketball court, spa and movie theater.

The rooms provide an ideal respite before or after a round at Desert Willow. The modern décor is complemented by a flatscreen TV, fireplace, kitchen and spacious bedroom.

The bathroom, which has a shower with a rain-style head, blends seamlessly into the main quarters. It’s also pretty cool to be able to bathe and watch TV.

The other club — the Westin Desert Willow — is scheduled to open early this year. Owned and operated by Starwood, the development emphasizes class and comfort with a hip, trendy vibe, akin to the company’s chain of W hotels.

There are three types of villas, including a 1,420-square-foot, two-bedroom edition with a list of accoutrements rivaling that of any high-end condominium or penthouse apartment.

To learn more about either of these private resort communities, call Desert Willow Golf Resort at (760) 346-7060 or visit desertwillow.com.
