SAN DIEGO—Forbes Travel Guide has awarded the Grand Del Mar hotel a five-star rating, the first such rating for a San Diego hotel. The Grand Del Mar also is the only property in California to be awarded three 2012 five-star ratings for lodging, spa and dining. Only 57 hotels in the world, and five in the United States, hold the Forbes five-star designation. In addition to 249 guest rooms and suites, the hotel features San Diego’s only Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course. |
